We came down to stay a night & to see a Steelers game while in town. The location was perfect for the game - you could throw a rock at the stadium! We were pleased to see how charming & original the interior of the Inn was. Our accomodations were more than what we expected & the staff were very nice & informative. Ed made an aamzing breakfast of melba waffles, pumpkin bread & melon parfaits. Overall, a very nice stay. Not only would we reccomend, but would stay again if we ever come back to the area!

We stayed two nights in the Bougainvillea and were very pleased with it. Ed makes a terrific baked oatmeal entree and whips up creative breakfast parfaits. Razor is a well behaved black lab who still has a fair amount of puppy in him and enjoys playing with the guests. The patio has comfortable furniture and the courtyard is lush with flowers and shrubs and is very quiet. The Parador's location makes it an ideal place to stay if one desires to go to Heinz Field, PNC Stadium, the Science Center or to stroll / bike along the riverfront. If one has trouble with climbing stairs, then perhaps the Bougainvillea is not the room to get, as it involves two flights of stairs to reach the bedroom and bathroom. Other rooms at the Parador seemed to be located on the second story. Nearby are a McDonald's, Wendy's and Seven-Eleven, and Ed can recommend other places in the vicinity of the Parador for one to explore.

I just returned from my niece's graduation, and the Parador is where I chose to stay. I thought the inn was most charming, and Ed was a wonderful host. My room was very spacious and the breakfasts served were great. I loved the antique clocks, the chandeliers and the lovely garden. I will definitely stay there again if I have another opportunity to visit Pittsburgh.

My daughter had her wedding there on May 22. Absolutely Fabulous, even with the rain. Ed was wonderful and very easy to work with. Breakfasts were delightful. Highly recommend the Parador Inn. Love the dogs, Razor and RJ. Hint..Don't try to hang tulle outside with RJ around. He thinks it is a toy.

Location, location, location. This Caribean B & B located in the North Shore, an older quieter area of Pittsburgh is a short 10 to 15 minute walk to downtown. It is also, from a retired policer's point of view, in a safe neighborhood. My wife and I walked every night after dark and were always comfortable. Our room was not just clean it was immaculate. Soft Caribean music in the background, every breakfast was an experience in gorme dining. Ed is a gracious host and is a walking encycropedia of where to go and where to eat. Razor and PJ adds the homey touch. Why would anyone even consider staying anywhere else.

My husband, Mark, and I love the Parador Inn. The inn is beautiful, with historic charm and fun Carribbean flair, the bedrooms are elegant and comfortable, Ed is a gracious host who makes superb breakfasts, Razor and R.J. are friendly canine hosts, and the housekeeping staff is efficient and accommodating. In addition, the location is easy to find and convenient to the many things Pittsburgh offers. Mark and I are glad we found the Parador; it has become a home away from home for us when we visit our children, who are students at Pitt. We look forward to our visit every time.

This was the best Bed & Breakfast that we have ever stayed in. We stayed in the the African Tulip. The room was amazing, the decor was very well done and the fireplace did its job on a cold Pittsburg night. Breakfast in the morning was great. We loved the fact that we were able to decide the night before what time we wanted breakfast and Ed had a hot breakfast especially prepared for us when we woke up. Only regret was that we were able to stay only one night. We will be back.

This is the BEST Pittsburgh has to offer - highly recommended! We found The New Parador Inn while looking for a special place to have our wedding and reception. This Caribean style B&B proved to be the perfect find - it surpassed our expectations in every way. The outside courtyard is the picture perfect location for a wedding of any size or style - or just for hanging out! The mansion is rich in its historical decor and feel and Ed Menzer has done a lovely job updating it with modern luxuries for his guests. Ed Menzer and Razor are terrific hosts. Ed helped us to prepare for the wedding and provided outstanding service and attention throughout our entire stay. Though we live a short distance away, we are looking forward to staying at the Parador Inn in the future for weekend getaways. We just cannot say enough about it.

Not only did we stay at the parador, but my daughter was married there. The hospitality and service was one of the best in western Pennsylvania. Ed and razor were excellent hosts. Family and friends that stayed at the Parador during the wedding weekend were surprised how the Inn felt more like home than a B and B. I would recommend the Parador to anyone traveling to Pittsburgh, or for just a getaway weekend. I know we will be staying there again.
